Owners: John & Jan Coumbe

John and Jan have been in the family resort business for over 31 years.  John spent his early years in corporate America where he developed a national reputation in strategic planning. Jan has been deeply involved in volunteer work since achieving her applied psychology degree.

Both are committed to continuing the rich tradition of family values, memories, and sense of peace that Eagle Beach has offered to countless guests.

Activities Director: Sarah Coumbe-Guida

Sarah has successfully developed programming for Eagle Beach guests for the past 15 years. Since obtaining her Special Education degree, Sarah has taught at the Cass Lake Elementary School.  She facilitates community grants, oversees behavior modication programs, and mentors new teachers.  She pioneered the camps for youth facilitated at Eagle Beach with their company Family Foundations Minnesota. These camps occur 2-3 times per summer.

Marketing Director: Travis Guida

Travis oversees website design and marketing for the resort. Since marrying Sarah in 2000, Travis has spent his summers assisting in landscape maintenance, pool operations, and lodge management.  He and Sarah have developed a new venture called the Character Challenge Course, which provides a low and high obstacle course to enhance team-building, communication, and overcome fears.  During the winter months, Travis serves as the Work Experience Coordinator at the Bemidji High School.

Landscape Engineer: Matt Coumbe

Matt has shaped the layout of boulders and various landscaped areas at the resort property since the age of 15. The picturesque views now seen at the resort are a result of years of planning.  Matt currently works at Gallup Group as a consultant.  In 2000, he achieved his P.H.D. in Quantative and Qualitative Research from the University of North Dakota.  He is married to Ann (Weiss) Coumbe who was a long-time resort guest and is a doctor.
